Firefighters in North Texas have been deployed to combat wildfires across the state. A mutual aid agreement has allowed local fire departments to send personnel to assist with fires. One such fire, the Bufford Creek Fire, has burned a significant amount of land in Stephens County.

The fire has affected over 3,000 acres of land. However, containment efforts have been successful, with the fire being nearly contained.
