The company tracks vehicle movements through cameras and is implementing changes to address privacy concerns and potential police abuse of its data. The changes include reducing the default period for holding people's movement data from one month to one week.

Officers will also be required to enter a case number if they want to hold data longer. Additionally, Flock Safety plans to deploy a system called Audit Assistance, which will lock out users who display abnormal activity.
