Emergency teams have rescued two male workers from a hydropower tunnel. The workers, a 30-year-old mechanical foreman and a 45-year-old mechanical supervisor, were pulled out alive after being trapped for nine days. They were rescued from the Trishuli 3A hydropower plant, where devastating floods had swept through the area.

Rescue officials reported hearing the voices of other workers inside the tunnel, indicating that more people may still be alive. At least 557 workers are believed to be missing, with around 115 thought to be trapped in the main tunnel.

Further details about the rescue efforts and the situation at the hydropower plant are available from the source.
