Two juvenile male zebras, Hercules and Pegasus, have arrived at their new home. They are half-brothers and came from a private wildlife ranch in Texas about a month ago. The zebras are now out in their habitat, with access to a barn behind the scenes as they get acclimated.

They are part of a new chapter in zoo history, as zebras were previously a mainstay for nearly a century. The first zebra arrived in 1923 and the species remained until 2021, when they left to make way for a new lion habitat.

Further details about the zebras and their new home are available from the zoo, which announced their arrival on social media.
